I returned Saturday night about 10:00. This 8th section hike on the AT was a complete success. Hedy went with me and was the car person and that enabled me to hike consecutive full days (15) and run up my best mileage to date for a section hike. It was really great and a lot of fun. Being met at the end of the trail with a cold beer, getting a regular shower and lots of food have spoiled me now.  I only tented two nights. I am in the process of re-adjusting to being back at work and have not had time to review the photos or create the AT2011 page but plan to dedicate some time each day to at least complete a task on the AT2011 page. In short, I started July 1, 2011 at Deleware Water Gap and ended July 15, 2011 at Conn 41, Undermount Rd in Salisbury, Connecticut. The mileage = 204.6.
